FOR EMPLOYERS

Welcome! My name is Julia Neeson and I am currently a Senior at Texas A&M University. My degree, a B.S. in University Studies, allows me to create a tailored education that highlights three of my top strengths; business, design and writing. The education section listed below outlines these concentrations in the academic sphere and how I have applied them in the professional.

Outside of work, I have held leadership positions within student organizations as officer of philanthropy and event planning, marketing and advertising, and mass communications.  Through work experience, leadership positions, and volunteer work I have spent the past four years refining my natural skills and creating new ones in preparation for the workplace.

EDUCATION

New Media Design

College of Architcture

As a minor in New Media Design, I have taken courses in Photography, History of Modern Art,  Principles of Design and multiple levels of Graphic Design. I have designed a variety of print materials in my internship at Southwest Airlines in the Curriculum Development Deparment, created an infographic for Mays Business School, and love to integrate visual design into any project, whether it be professional or personal. Design is the newest of my skillsets, but quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Business

Texas A&M University

Mays Business School

The Bachelor of Science of a University Studies Business major covers Marketing, Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, and Business Law. I currently work at the Mays Business School Communication Lab, where I consult with peers in writing, editing, public speaking, interviewing, and business communication. Additionally, I am the student instructor for a seminar in business school entitled, "Visual Communication in Business," that integrates design into the business world.

English Literature

College of Liberal Arts

My minor in Literature is a representation of my love of writing, reading, and language. Throughout my English courses at Texas A&M, I have concentrated in a variety of topics such as British Novels, Young Adult, Modern Novel, Russian Authors, Rhetoric of Style and Rhetorical Criticism. I have worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for two separate Professors on Literary Conferences and Research, and am an avid reader and writer in my free time.
